Listening to my favourite tunes, and looking tru my facebook photo albums, i realise that I have blogged as i promised previously. Lack of discipline coupled with the lazy holiday mood resulted in the lack of updates. And time is seriously not on my side, it is flying by way to fast and the holiday is coming to an end. Before IA starts officially, I am going on a trip to Hongkong! So it is only apt to blog about my way overdue trip to disneyland last june! :D :D
RAh. i need to slp right now. but i have the urge to blog. so, i will blog tmr when i am awake! HAHA
Let it be my new year's resolution! :D
yes i know i haven blogged my disneyland blog which i promised sooooo bloody long ago! hahah
since coming back, i've been up with so many stuff that i lost track of time. and simply do not have the mood to blog! HAHAHA. okay i am lazy ya.
and now, the exams dates are drawing near.. I NEED TO START STUDYING!
OHHH. but this is so not working for me. i am just wasting my life away staring into space or moping around the house OR watching my fb page update itself.
Yes i know, no life right. BUT!!! At least i haven started planting crops in farmville or cooking food in cafe world!
Tho i have started my harrypotter frenzy again by reading the whole series for like the hundredth time. BLEAH.
my to do list is long. but i really do not feel like caring. i just want to bum around for today. and tomorrow...
We shall see.
Lu Dao trip was awesome. the sea is like WOW. and there's no other land within sight, thus when you look out to sea, all you see is never ending water.. it is not something you can see in singapore. and i love love love it. :D

TAIPEI DAY 2
After a good night’s rest, we woke up at 8am for breakfast!! I haven woke up at 8AM since like forever! even when i have 8.30 lessons i only wake up at like 815? HAHA. XD
The hotel that we stayed in is called Hotel 73. It a really small and ulu boutique hotel with tiny rooms. And when we went down for breakfast, the dining area that greeted us was pleasantly empty and plates of food looked untouched! As they say, early birds get the worms. We got less grumpy. HAHAHA.
The interesting thing about this hotel is that the staffs working in the dinning room and the staffs working at the reception area are the same! I suppose in small hotels, the staff must really be jack of all traits. One thing i must really mention, their service level is quite high. The reception staff were nice and courteous and once, when we got out of the lift, i saw the recep guy yawning, but the moment he saw us, he jumped up and greeted us! it was a LOL moment.
Okay enough about the hotel, our first stop was Ximending!
This is YongJoo. Candid shot HEHE. but this is how Ximending looks like.
It is said to be the Taiwanese version of Japan’s Harujuku. =D
This is some tea from some shop. I can’t remember the name. But it tastes good!
Being foodies, we HAVE TO try the famous Ah Chung Mian Xian!!!
This is Ah Joo queueing for Ah Chung. :D
This is us with the noodles! It was steaming hot okay. Kudos to Yongjoo for bearing with the heat while i took many tries to get this right.
This is a close up. LOOKS good right!
Verdict: It tastes good. But not that good lah. I do not know if it is the hype that made my me feel that it does not live up to my expectations. Because you know, if I heard from like tons of people saying something is nice, I do EXPECT it to be really nice. Though I have to agree that their chilli is really shiok. After being in Taiwan for one week, tasty chilli is really rare. Here, it is all the sweet chilli, you know like mac's chilli before they changed it back to garlic chilli? Not nice! D:
I can finally understand why Yongjoo wanted me to bring sambal chilli over. hahaha. which I didn’t cuz i brought laksa paste instead. BLEAH.
This is US going back to the hotel.
As it was a public holiday in Taiwan and the whole Ximending was packed. Yongjoo do not like crowded areas, it makes him grumpy. HAHA. So we returned to Ximending on the 3rd day instead.
Our hotel is near Chiang Kai-Shek Momorial Hall Station.
So on our way back, we decided to cut through the place.
This is how part of the place looks!
The reason why the picture is part of the place only: the whole memorial hall area is HUGE. and we were too lazy to walk around to explore, as we only cut through the place for the shortcut. =X
Then after slacking around in the hotel, we went out for dinner! We ate at a roadside stall with freshly made Xiao Long Baos!
The awesome XLB! <3
The Guo Tie that we ordered cuz it looks good. But it ain’t that good. Looks can be deceiving. :(
This is a beancurd soup. Really light and yummy, unlike most of the food in Taiwan.
Did i mention? Most of the food you get to eat in Taiwan are either fried, or really oily. and ALOT of pork. hahaha. but they do their pork well la. so i likey!
After dinner we proceeded to Shilin Night Market. Which was too crowded to take pictures. and Hao DADA JIPa was closed! SAD :( the worst was, we spend most of our night looking for the stall. hahaha but nvm, we will be going to Taipei again! So this time i must really eat it! LOL
TAIPEI DAY 3
For breakfast the next day, we couldn’t wake up in time for the breakfast in the hotel, so we ventured out and tried the Xiao Long Bao restaurant nearby. IT IS AWESOME. and it is cheap too! 90ntd for like 8 XLB! SO much cheaper than DingTaiFeng LO. Boycott them!!! hahaha.
The XiaoLongBao. YUMS.
Prawn Dumplings. Hmm. Oookay only la. HAHA
Some Xie Huang thingy. No crab roe AT ALL. all veggies. Cheat money one lo! HMPF.
After that we went to Wu Fen Pu. Which was quite disappointing for me cuz the nice stuff are super ex! like at least 1000ntd and above. The cheap ones right, are not that nice. Sure, once in a while you will come across some gem amongst the hay, but most of the time, its blah blah blah. And they are not cheap like Thailand cheap la. Its like Platinum Mall in Bangkok, with higher pricings. HAHA. So we went back to Ximending. Which, thankfully was emptier this time. And we took our time to shop around.
Finally, we went to Taipei Bus Station, bought tickets to Kao Shiung. :D We chose the bus over the high speed rail because, it looks more comfy and has in bus entertainment, and half the price of the HSR! HAHA.
This is how to seats look. It is more spacious than the Grassland buses we take to Genting okay. And we can play games! HAHA
So its Goodbye Taipei, hello KaoShiung! :D
Woot its a really Loooong post. hahaha.

Taipei Day 1

It was kinda weird at first, cuz we haven seen each other in flesh for four months. SO i kinda got used to him being an image in my com. And actually seeing him in real life makes me feel abit weird. like he was once 3 by 3 inch and now, he has expanded like 100times. =P He looks a lil thinner than on skype, i suppose webcams really expands you. =S
This was taken at TaoYuan Airpor btwt. And speaking of airport, guess who i met there? My neighbour Daniel Mok LOL. A HUGE COINCIDENCE! hahaha. i mean i met him on my way to the airport i.e. in the lift, little did i knoongw that he was heading towards the same destination as me! ahahaha. I think he got a huge shock too when he saw me at customs. XD
Taoyuan airport was not what i expected. I mean, the only airports I've been to are like Thailand and Singapore, and they are both really new, huge, bright and awesome with a huge DFS area. But Taoyuan was the complete opposite. It was quiet, with a pathetically small DFS area which looks dark, gloomy and dodgy. MOST OF ALL, the walk from the landing area to the arrival hall was bloody long and for someone lugging a 9.07kg luggage without wheels attached to its bottom, the someone really wants to kill herself for making the choice of a pretty luggage over a functional one. RWAR. but when i reached the arrival hall, all's well again, cuz YongJoo is gentlemanly and helped me with the luggage immediately. :DDDDD I am a happy girl again! though i think he secretly agrees that i am a stupid vain pot for choosing the pretty luggage. =P
After that, we have to buy bus tickets to travel from TaoYuan Airport to Taipei. Apparently, Taoyuan is really ulu and you have to take an hour long bus ride in order to reach Taipei.
Being cheapos, we chose the cheapest bus ticket i.e 90ntd? around there, there was a 125ntd one but if there's a cheaper one, why choose the ex one?
BIG MISTAKE OKAY. It took super long; longer than it was suppose to be cuz the cheapo bus took the longer route. Hence, by the time we arrive at Taipei, it was alrdy 9PM. Our original plan was to go to Shilin Night Market once we checked into the hotel, but due to time constraints, we have to scrap it. =(

And so we arrived at Taipei Bus Station, like finally. We still have to take the Metro (Taiwan's MRT) in order to reach our hotel.
Another MISTAKE! The hotel is SUPER far from the Metro Station, esp when we are lugging the heavy luggage. My bad. :P
But something good came out of it, we started buying dinner on our way. Gathering food like some squirrel in the forest.
First stop, 7-11. Where we bought some pork chop rice which tasted damn good. The 7-11 in Taiwan is like a million times more awesome than Singapore ones! They have a wider selection of foodstuff. More choices for takeouts. and its really inexpensive! I AM IN LOVE. hoho.
Next we stopped at Family Mart to pick up Yong Joo's dinner. Cuz the 7-11 ran out of the nice ones. mine was the last. and he kindly gave it up to me. there we bought his dinner and some dumplings as a side dish (which turned out to be mistake no. 3 of the day)
Finally, when we were nearing the hotel, we saw this roadside stall which was really crowded. So decided to stop by and try out some stuff! Best choice of the day. We ordered some crab roe xiao long bao, which turned out to be really heavenly. and this in turn lead us to neglect our dumplings which weren't as nice comparatively. =X Yes we don't give face one. HAHAHA.
And here's how the hotel looks like! Really nice, but pity the rooms are a tad too small.

The hotel lobby. Looks pretty modern huh.

Okay. So this is the end of my Taipei Day 1! Do come back for more if you want to know more about my Taiwan Trip!!

As most of you alrdy know, I've flown off for a month long trip around Taiwan! :D
Therefore, as of today, I've alrdy been in Taiwan for approximately 6days. Time really do fly, it is almost a week!
For the past week, I travelled from Taipei to Kaoshiung. Eating from Shilin Night Market to LiuHe Night market. Frankly, Ji Pa ( Deep Fried Chicken Breast) is already turning me off. I realise that Taiwan people really do drink alot of tea. Milk tea, Green Tea, Oolong Tea. you name it, you will probably be able to find it.
So with an overdose of milk tea and fried food, i embark on the journey of expanding my wardrobe. To my surprise, Taiwan clothes ain't that cheap after all. Not to mention, not very large either. D: However, there is always a silver linning. THE COSMETICS HERE ARE SO MUCH CHEAPER!
This is just an overview of what I've been through! Once YongJoo uploads the pics, i will fill up the words with visual aids :D
So do wait for the next installment!
